More than 100 corporate leaders today joined the BJP. It is probably the first time when top private executives have joined a political party in such a large number.
They joined the party in presence of BJP president Amit Shah and Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha president Anurag Thakur, who was instrumental in getting them onboard.
Shah reportedly said that corporate leaders today aren’t joining the party but a family.
“Over 100 CEOs became members of the BJP today which included Perveiz Alamgir Khan from Luftansa, Henry Moses country head of Qatar Airlines, Neeta Agarwal of AT&T, Jagpreet Lamba of AIKON Group,” among others, a statement by the party said.
