‘One lakh wells dug up under MNREGA in Jharkhand’

While implementing Mahatama Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act(MNREGA),Jharkhand has recorded construction of over one lakh wells,said the state government today.

MNREGA Commissioner B.Nizlingappa said that these wells were serving the people and helping them irrigate their land as well.He said Water Harvesting,National Rural Livelihood Mission and Indira Awas schemes were also being implemented successfully,said Nizlingappa.

He spoke on the second and concluding day of the two day orientation cum training programme held inside State Institute of Rural Development(SIRD)’s conference hall in Ranchi.

On this occasion,the organiser Rural Development Department Deputy Secretary Yatish Prasad gave details of MP’s Aadarsh Gram Yojna,Aadarsh Gram Yojna and Mukhya Mantri Smart Village schemes.
