On a day when the entire eastern India will celebrate Rath Mela on Wednesday,Kolkata will have another cause for celebration-Metro Rail Service.
The Kolkata Metro Railway will throw open its largest station tomorrow. The metro station at Noapara, 2.2 km from the Dumdum stop, has four platforms instead of the usual two.
More, station will have three elevators and six escalators for the ease of passengers, and will link the city and Barasat in North 24-Parganas.
“Very soon,some stations will have a facility to play instrumental music for passengers’ enjoyment”,said a report.
