NTPC-Jharkhand Govt.inks MoU to raise PTPS’ power production

MoU-signedThe MoU signed between the state government and the NTPC inside the Project Bhawan today aims to increase the PTPS’ capacity to produce power from its plants in Patratu in ramgarh district.

Greeting the move,the NTPC CMD Dr Arup Roy thanked the state government and said that his company will try to increase the production capacity of PTPS as per the time schedule.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that his government aims to provide electricity to all villages by 2019.”This will help bring green revolution-blue revolution and white revolution in the state”,said Das.

Jharkhand Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba opined that the vast potential of the state’s power sector has to be resulted into a reality.”For this,the work connected with setting up mega power plants at Tilaya and Deogha has started”,said Gauba.

Senior officials including CM’s Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar,Secretary Sunil Kumar Barnwal and Jharkhand Urja Sanchar Nigam Ltd Sunil Kumar spoke on this occasion and welcomed the move.
