Nitish-kumar-546558The oath taking ceremony of Nitish Kumar as Chief Minister of Bihar is expected to take place on November 20, three days after the State’s most important Chhath festival.

State JD(U) president Basisth Narayan Singh said that there had been no discussion among Grand Alliance partners on the power sharing formula to decide size and portfolio distribution.

Apart from the official reason given for the delay in government formation due to Diwali and Chhath festivals, sources attribute this to intense lobbying by Grand Alliance partner RJD for the post of Deputy Chief Minister to Tejashvi Prasad Yadav, the youngest son of party chief Lalu Prasad.
