New tourism policy for Jharkhand soon, says Das

Raghubar Das_650x400_big_storyJharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das has said his government will soon frame a tourism policy.

Addressing the gathering on the concluding function of the Chaitra Parva-cum-Chau dance festival in Seraikela, Das said the policy would be employment-oriented and linked to the culture of the state to promote tourism.

Besides, the government would also take initiatives to promote Chau dance in other parts of the country as well as eco-tourism, he said.

A member of the Seraikela-Kharswan Royal family Pratap Aditya Singhdeo, has demanded that Seraikela should be made the “cultural capital of Jharkhand” and added out of eight Padmashree awardee Chau dance exponents from this region, six were from Seraikela.
