Prime Minister Narendra Modi today flagged off the Hazaribagh-Koderma train.
This stretch of 79 km between Hazaribagh and Koderma is the first phase of the East-Central Railway work to be completed on the ongoing Koderma-Hazaribagh-Barkakana-Ranchi railway line.
The decision to set up the line was taken by Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1999 and he had sanctioned Rs 463 crore for this project.
The fare for this stretch will be only Rs 20 and train will stop at seven stations on the route.
