A day after the Catholic priest allegedly committed suicide by hanging from ceiling fan in his room in a college campus in Jamshedpur on Monday,the police have failed to illuminate the reasons for his suicide.
Though the autopsy report was not made public,the police claimed that it had registered the case as that of un-natural death.“We are told that he was suffering from depression”,Jamshedpur SP Akhilesh Jha said
Fr. Michael Raj (43),who was also Director of the Catholic Church run college, was found hanging in his room by college staff after they broke open its door as he did not respond to repeated calls on Monday morning.
None of three staff of the Church JharkhandStateNews.com talked to,agreed to speak on the cause of his alleged suicide. Jha however added that the police had not concluded anything on this case.”Investigations are on”,said Jha.
