As per the Centre’s initiative and directive,a ‘Financial Literacy Workshop’ was organized today at Jharkhand Government’s MSME Tool Room, Tatisilwai, Ranchi.
The ‘Financial Literacy Workshop’ was conducted in co-ordination with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Prof. Sanjeev Bajaj from XISS, Ranchi, who is also the certified financial education trainer of SEBI,gave his expert advice on financial awareness to the students and faculties of the Tool Room.
Prof. Bajaj elaborated the need for financial literacy.He tought the participants about how to keep away from fraud companies.He also explained the ways of creating wealth.Many students and faculties looked satisfied.Some of them also appreciated the move to organise the workshop.”We felt benefited from this workshop”,said a student echoing the sentiments of a dozen others who had participated in the workshop.
In fact,nearly 120 students had taken part in this interactive workshop.
Being leader in skill development,Jharkhand Government MSME Tool Room, Ranchi,has been setup by the Department of Industries, Government of Jharkhand,with assistance from Ministry of MSME, Government of India.While Jharkhand Secretary(Industry) is its Chairman,Director(Industry) is its Vice Chairman.It has separate Training & Production Wings with latest state-of-art technology machines and infrastructure. The institute is working aggressively in area of skill development.
Mahesh Kumar Gupta, Principal, MSME Tool Room,said that the workshop was inspirational as well as beneficial for the students and the faculties in making sound financial decisions.”It can have positive impact on them in the long term too”,he said adding that in future more such type of workshops shall be organized.
