Move proceeds to set up Eklavya Schools for ST students in Jharkhand

With an aim to establish Eklavya Model Residential schools for Scheduled Tribe students in the state,Jharkhand Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba reviewed the work in progress under Van Vandhu Yojna in Littipara in pakur district and directed the concerned officers to complete the project at the earliest.

Gauba told them them the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs has introduced Eklavya Model Residential Schools for ST students to provide quality middle and high level education to them in remote areas.To set up one school will take atleast 18 months of time.

And as such he directed the Deputy Commissioner of Pakur to identify such state government buildings in Littipara block of Pakur which were lying unused and utilise them to set up Eklavya Model Residential Schools in a time frame.Get the work completed by October 15.

“Even selection of the teacher be made within the said time frame”,the CS ordered.
