MoU signed between Railway Board and Jharkhand Government

The Railway Board and Jharkhand State Government today signed a fresh MoU for the completion of projects, which were undertaken in 2002 but could not be completed by the deadline that expired in February 2013, says a press release.

Signatories of the fresh MoU were Ved Prakash Dudeja, Executive Director (Work) Railway Board and Jharkhand Transport Secretary Ratan Kumar and the deadline to finish the projects has been decided as March 31, 2017.

Cost of projects has also been increased from Rs1,997 crore to Rs. 5,775 crore. Out of this the Jharkhand government has already paid Rs. 2,219 crore. The participation ratio of both sides is 50 per cent each.
