The Jharkhand Meteorological Department has put Ranchi on alert for the next 48 hours.
It has predicted hailstorm in certain places and said that most likely there will be a squall, high velocity winds and snowfall in Ranchi in the coming two days.
Department head B.K. Mandal has advised people to stay indoors as the weather changes in Jammu and Kashmir has influenced the weather pattern of Odisha thereby making an impact on Jharkhand. He also said that flight services might get affected due to the bad weather.
