An important meeting was held inside Chief Minister’s conference room at the Project Bhavan in Ranchi.The meeting was connected with the proposed new Jharkhand Assembly building.

The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly,Dinesh Oraon,Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sanjay Kumar, G.R.D.A. Managing Director Sukhdev Singh and ministers were present at the meeting.

A detailed presentation of the three drafts of the proposed new Jharkhand Assembly building were presented in detail and discussed.Following discussions on the various aspects of the three drafts; an agreement was arrived at for one of the drafts.

The Chief Minister Raghuvar Das observed in view the future possibilities and said,the new Assembly building should be able to accommodate 150 members along with the offices of 20 ministers.

The Assembly building should also have all modern facilities apart from the basic ones,Das said.

The Raj Bhavan, the High Court and the Secretariat building will also be constructed near the Assembly building,he said.”Electricity, water, roads and open spaces will also be provided adequately.”
