Maoists set afire road contractor’s make-shift house,vehicles in Jamtara

Maoists have struck again.This time in Jamtara district where they reportedly triggered a blast to blow up a vacant make- shift house and set afire vehicles near Ghatiari village on Wednesday.

The motive behind the crime was said to be refusal by a contractor to pay ransom demanded by the Maoists.The house and vehicles were owned by the contractor who was engaged by the state government to construct road in Jamtara,said the police.

Jamtara DY.SP RB Sharma said,Maoists also set afire a mo bike,a generator set and road construction machines.

No arrest was made in this connection so far.
