Maoist’s interrogations led to recovery of IEDs

Swift action launched by the security forces led to the recovery of 125 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from along the Bandu road in the extremist-affected Khunti district of Jharkhand.

The explosives were suspectedly planted by the Maoists under beneth the road to harm the security forces.These explosives were found to be connected with wire.

“Among the recovered explosives,23 IEDs weighed 10 kg.The rest weighed two kgs,” said acting SP of Khunti Amarnath Mishra.

The recovery,a result of interrogations of an arrested Maoist Sunil Kerketa,was made by the CRPF and the district police personnel.Kerketa was recently arrested at Bano in the neighbouring Simdega district.
