A Maoist surrendered before the Jharkhand Director General of Police, Rajeev Kumar, at a function today in Rania of Khunti district.
The surrendered CPI(Maoist) Anil Singh also deposited a carbine and a rifle before Director General of Police.
Kumar was in Rania to take part in a ‘Janata Durbar’ when the Maoist surrendered.
Kumar along with senior police officers handed over a cheque of Rs. 50,000 to Singh under the government’s surrender policy.
