Make use of e-Governance for poorest of the poor,says CM

ATI.Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today observed that “We all should be responsible to wash out tears of the poor people in the state.’

“They should recognise their importance in society so that they don’t face any pressure.Many people come to Janata Darbar bringing their land related problem.It seems they all feel the pressure.The role of the middle men will have to be removed through Information and Technology method”,said Das.

Das was addressing a meeting on e-Governance at ATI conference hall in Ranchi today.”Through e-Governance,many problems can be tackled and the State can be put on the path of development”,he said.Industries

“In this state,a number of works has taken place in the lamp of e-Governance.It can contribute in setting up good governance.It can be useful mode to make the government services reach the people”,he said.

Urban Develoment Minister CP Singh said the common man has many aspirations from the government.The need was to make the government’s works transparent and anserable.Today is the age of modernisation across the world and Information Technology is playing important role.The government officers will get full support and they will do the best possible work,it is expected”,said Singh.

R.S.Sharma,Secretary,Information Technology,Government of India,said this State has stable government and positive leadership.”The State can certainly develop by using IT”,he said.

While giving details of the e-Governance,Sharma said IT can be useful in providing services in the fields of Registration,Transport,Public Destribution.”Computerisation work was done in different departments in 2005.As such there is no problem in establishing e-Governance in this State”,he observed.

The meeting was addressed by Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba and Principal Secretary(IT) Jharkhand,NN Sinha as well.
