Lalu may move SC against HC’s verdict rejecting his petitions on fodder scam case

Jharkhand High Court today rejected the petitions of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav,who is accused in the Rs 950 crore fodder scam,and refused to provide him any relief.

Justice RR Prasad rejected his two petitions and asked him to get his arguments concluded within ten days.

Earlier,in one petition,Yadav had sought transfer of the RC 20/96 case of the fodder scam to another court on the ground that the CBI court judge PK Singh who had heard the case on the ground that he was a relative of his rival belonging to the JD(U).

In the second petition,Yadav had sought the directive of the high court to prevail upon Judge Singh to get his Thailand based defence witness examined.These petitions were moved and argued by Ram Jethmalani on his behalf.

After hearing the arguments put forth by Jethmalani,Justice Prasad had kept the judgement reserved on June 27.

Now,with the court rejecting both his petitions and Judge Singh slated to announce judgement in the RC 20/96 case on July 15,Yadav is expected to move the Supreme Court against the court’s verdict.
