Lalu Prasad Yadav,former Bihar Chief Minister,who was accused in the multi million rupee fodder scam,was today convicted along with 45 others.
The sentences are expected to be pronounced on October 3.
Among the convicts were former Bihar CM Lalu,Jagannath Mishra,BN Sharma,the then District Animal Husbandry Officer of Chaibasa,Dr MK Srivastava,assistant Director (Poultry),Chaibasa,Dr GP Tripathy,MVO,Chaibasa,Dr D.Dorai,Manager,AHD’s cattle farm,Saraikela,other officials such as Silas Tirkey,Treasury Officer,Chaibasa,Sajal Chakravort and others.
They were charged with withdrawing an amount of Rs 35,66,42,083 during 1994-95 on the basis of forged/false bills submitted by suppliers.
