In a shocking incident of ragging, junior students of prestigious Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi were thrashed by their seniors late on Tuesday night. According to reports seniors were in an inebriated condition.
Reportedly the juniors were summoned by the seniors in the common room of hostel number one. Subsequently they were beaten up. Many of them got injured and are under treatment in RIMS.
Junior students today met the Urban Development Minister and apprised him with the beating incident in the Institute hostel. It is said that on the Minister’s directive police raided the hostel but the culprits have not yet been arrested as a result the injured students and their guardians are very agitated.
