With an aim to promote the cause of community health service, scooties were gifted to the best sahiyas of each district in Jharkhand.
Most of the recipients were known for their outstanding performance.The distributor was Jharkhand Rural Health Mission Society.It did this under the Union Government’s proramme-National Health Mission.
The distribution of scooties’ keys was made by ex Director General Dr Sumant Mishra.
Incidentally,JRHMS had gifted the scooties in a felicitation ceremony to the sahiyas lasrt year on September 30,but took it back on the same day after the first of its kind initiated function concluded.
Today,these sahiyas were in happy mood with scooties provided to them.”We will be able to provide medicare to the people in villages quickly”,said Satri Kumari,a sahia from Palamau echoing the sentiments of a dozen others.
