*”At the outset,we congratulate those who had conceived this unique website. We also salute chief minister Arjun Munda for inaugurating it and wishing it a success”,Ranjit Murmu,Gossenor college.
*”Amost every household has an educated umemployed youth. This portal can be very useful for them”,writes Sudhir Kumar from Khunti.
*”With a click of the mouse, every morning I can see the main stories carried by prominent newspapers in Jharkhand. For a school teacher like me who can not afford to buy more than one newspaper, this portal is highly informing”,writes Sunita Kumari,a school teacher from Gumla.
*”Tenders were published in different newspapers.A collection of all of them in one page date wise being published by this portal can be of great help to many people”,writes Ashok Singh,a contractor from Palamau.
They are not strange cases.Like them the JharkhandStateNews.com had received many feedbacks from among its readers since it was launched by chief minister Arjun Munda on August 27,more than two months after it was turned alive on June 20.Most of them had talked in favour of it.Many of them had expressed their likeness for it in the popular social media-facebook.
“We have many websites on the world wide web.But there were very few who were committed to the cause of bridging digital divide.Kudos to those who were working with this goal through a newsportal like this.We wish it a great success”,writes Randhir Singh,an advocate,in his e mail.
JharkhandStateNews.com had another feather in its cap.Apart from Google giving its precious more than 450 pages since it was turned alive,StatsCrop, the most trusted web rating agency based in the US had in its five star scale accorded it three point three grade in its five star scale.
But not all visitors to this useful portal were not satisfied.”Many websites were launched.Only a few become sustainable.I don’t know if the latest venture which is in the interest of the ruralites especially the educated and trained unemployed youth who were in dire straits, will survive or bust”,said Praveen Toppo, who had visited the site.
“I had noticed two spelling mistakes on its lead stories. If it can not improve its quality,it can never grow”,added Toppo.Another visitor said:”Look was fine.Goal was fine and praiseworthy. But with many pages such as gazette notification remaining empty and tender and job pages not updated regularly,it does not arouse optimism about its prospect.”
The managers of the portal are apologetic. They welcome such constructive criticisms and promise to improve the quality gradually.”We should be pardoned for our limitations. We are trying to plug loopholes and assure that we will leave no stone unturned to make JharkhandStateNews.com a leading portal of this state”,said porta’s technical staff Salim Akhtar and Ravi Shankar Mahto.
