Jharkhand Minister Geetashree Oraon has courted controversy many times.In the past,she was ridiculed in public when she said that the services of the para teachers will be regularised.This time was criticised for stating that candidates who wrote a test in Bhojpuri language will be disqualified.
She,who is Human Resource Minister told reporters in Jamshedpur on Sunday that the results of all those who took the recently concluded Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) in Bhojpuri. will be put on hold.
“Those candidates who took the examination and wrote in Bhojpuri language will be disqualified”,she,who is the Congress MLA,is on record having said.
As it is In Jharkhand, 11 languages have been accorded second language status. For the students who appeared in the examination, there was option of many languages, including Bhojpuri, to write the answer.
The TET examination was conducted by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) a few months ago. Around 17,000 teachers are supposed to be appointed in the state.
“She is a crazy Minister who is not only biased against Bhojpuri,but also ignorant about the law.She should be dismissed immediately”,demands Sadhnu Murmu,a BJP leader.
