Jharkhand Governor addresses House as Opposition members protest

“Hai Hai…Hai Hai”.While Opposition members shouted and yelled,Governor Syed Ahmad addressed the House today.

The Opposition members were protesting against deteriorating law and order situation in the state where six persons were shot dead by The Maoists in Khunti yesterday.

Displaying newspapers on the Khunti killing,opposition members stood up and shouted slogans during the governor’s address.They held President’s Rule and the new coalition government led by Hemant Soren for rising crimes in the state.

Looking the other way,Governor Ahmad said that democracy in the country and the states depended on the conduct of members. “I have full confidence that you will always maintain the dignity and sanctity of this House with your actions and conduct,” Ahmad said adding that he was addressing development issues while the opposition were protesting.

He called on them to forget differences and rise above political lines for all round development.
