A state government official was today shot at near the Jharkhand Assembly building in Ranchi.
Manoj Kumar, a section officer in the Home Department, was shot while he was on his way to office.
The state secretariat staffers were agitated with the incident and boycotted their work.
Chief Secretary Rajiv Kumar has assured the staffers of necessary action.
