As a participant of the ongoing 34th India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan, Jharkhand today celebrated its foundation day in a grand function held at Hansadhwani Theater to mark the occasion.
Jharkhand Governor Syed Ahmed graced the occasion and Chairman Khadi Board Jainandu,Resident Commissioner of Jharkhand D. P. Tiwari ,Secretery Art & Culture Vandana Dadel, Secretory Forest Alka Tiwari, M.D Riyada, Director Industry Deepankar Panda,A.Muthukumar and other distinguished guests were present.
The program began with a floral tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda in pavilion. Then traditional dances of the state like Santhali, Paika and Manbhumi Chhau dance mesmerized audience in hansdhvani theater. These dances depicted the Jharkhand’s cultural proximity to the nature. Department of Art and Culture, Jharkhand organized this wonderful program of dance.
The program organized to show Jharkhand’s art, culture and dance, was awesome and people enjoyed it fully. Honorable Governor Dr. Syed Ahmed visited the pavilion and stalls and motivated the participants before start of the cultural evening.
Governor Ahmed said that a state is known by its culture and traditions and Jharkhand state is well known for its glorious traditions. Trade fair is an important platform to promote hidden rural talent from Jharkhand.
The theme of this year’s fair is women entrepreneurship and Jharkhand state is striving to promote it. He said that Jharkhand is a state of opportunities; we are making every effort to make it even stronger. Our Jharkhand, in this fair, is showing its achievements along with handicrafts, and future projects.
