Abhisheikh,a Jharkhand auto rickshaw owner’s son,who is based in Ranchi,has cleared the fiercely competitive Indian Institute of Technology –joint Entrance Examination(IIT-JEE) for which 1,50,00 candidates had appeared this year.
In Jharkhand,nearly 450 students are reported to have made it into the merit list.Apart from Abhisheikh,two others who had secured high ranks in the merit list from this state were: Utkarsh Kumar,from Hazaribagh and Anupam Khandelwal,from Ranchi.
While Abhisheikh had secured 4731 rank,Utkarsh and Anupam,who is son of senior IAS officer KK Khandelwal,had gained fifth and 56th rank respectively in the country’s merit list.
