Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said in response to a query in the Assembly that isolation wards have been set up in several hospitals in the wake of swine flu breaking out in various states.
Das said isolation wards are set up in hospitals at all the sub-divisions and districts, besides the three medical college hospitals in the state.
Medical staff in hospitals were trained to handle such cases and arrangements were also made to send suspected blood samples to Kolkata, Pune and Delhi for pathological test, he said.
The Chief Minister also said required medicines were being sent to hospitals as a precautionary measure to meet any eventuality.
