ICICI Bank organised a ‘coin exchange’ mela at the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) in Ranchi on May 11, 2015. The largest private sector bank in India held the event under the guidance of the Reserve Bank of India.
The event saw participation of more than 70 people who exchanged coins worth Rs. 10 lakhs in denomination of rupees. 1, 2, 5 and 10.
The ICICI bank has over 45 branches in Jharkhand. It periodically organises “Coin-exchange” melas for the general public for the exchange of mutilated and damaged currency notes with coins. This facility is provided free to the people.
