Senior IAS officer Sajal Chakrabarty is in trouble after he misbehaved with Chief Minister Raghubar Das in a high level meeting in Ranchi on January 20 and the state government served a notice to him on January 21.
Chakravarty may be placed under suspension for his misconduct and misbehaviour with the CM Das.
Though he has preferred to keep his mouth shut, the notice served to him by Principal Secretary Santosh Kumar Satapathy,in pursuance of the CM Das’s order, indicates that Chakravarty had yelled and shouted against the CM Das.
This took place in a meeting held inside the Administrative Training Institute at Ranchi.During the meeting attended by top brass of the state administration including DGP,DCs and SPs on law and order, food security and development,Chakrabarty had countered Das’s opinion.Subsequently,he threw the micro phone leaving senior officers shocked.
Remarkably,Das who maintained calm asked him to keep cool. After the meeting ended,Das ordered traansfer of Chakravarty who was posted as Additional Secretary,Civil Aviation, and appointment of Rajiv Gauba as CS.
On January 21,Chakrabarty,who is 1980 batch IAS officer, was served with a notice asking him to explain as to why he had misbehaved in this meeting. He was asked to submit his reply latest by January 23 evening.
