Manish Ranjan,Director in Chief of National Rural Health Mission in Jharkhand,has been nominated for the Special Performance Award for contributing to the National Trust Centric persons with Disabilities.
Billed as ‘SPANDAN’ award,Ranjan was selected through a jury of eminent people from scores of nominations from across the country.The award,constituted last year by National Trust of the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment,aims to recognize men and women achievers who had contributed to the cause of the Minitsry’s ideals.
During his tenure as Deputy Commissioner of Hazaribagh last year Ranjan was recognized to have done exemplary works for the persons with disabilities.Since he did this work in the official capacity,the award was to be given to Hazaribagh DC.And as such when the award will be given at the Teenmurti House in New Delhi on September 4,Ranjan will receive the award together with the present DC Sunil Singh.
