“Foundation, education and presentation”were key to success in life, observed Diana Hayden.
She ,who practically had the world at her feet when she clinched the title of being the most beautiful woman of the world, was in Ranchi on Sunday. She was called by Prabhat Khabar,a popular Hindi daily published simultaneously from many towns in Jharkhand,Bihar and West Bengal,to preside over its function organized to honour and award achievers of the state-2011-12.
While speaking on the occasion, she said that in this age of cut throat competition, there were many competitors.”One will lag behind if one lacked even one thing. As such, prepare yourself with more than what was demand of the time”,she exhorted the youth.
After she wore the Miss World crown, her life took a totally different turn and was treated like a princess wherever she went.Even in the Jharkhand’s capital,Diana, who had begun her career as a receptionist to become a beautiful queen, charmed and mesmerised the audience with her beauty and personality.
She told the audience about her humble background and said that she was a scool drop out.”The circumstances were such that I could not continue study after completing Class VIII.I needed job.I started doing job.
But to get the job I lied about my educational qualification.Though I was just 14,I introduced myself as a 19 year old.My brother wondered if telling truth will make any sense. It will only create problem. My understanding was that if I had to get the crown of the Miss World,I must take it.Nothing else mattred”,she said.
“The purpose behind telling these facts was that whatever I learnt in life was through my own effort. After I became adult,I read a number of books.Since I hailed from the middle class family,I knew the importance of moral values. My understanding is the moral values of India were much better than other parts of the world.”
