‘HUM HAIN RAHI SURAKSHA KE’ Campaign launched in Jamshedpur

In order to achieve ‘Zero’ accident on road, the Shared Services division of Tata Steel launched a special campaign ‘HUM HAIN RAHI SURAKSHA KE.’

The campaign was launched jointly by A M Misra, VP, Shared Services, Tata Steel and P N Singh, President, Tata Workers’ Union today at Steelenium Hall. The audience consisted of all senior executives of Shared Services and employees from the departments of Shared Services and Union Committee members of Shared Services.

At the outset, Madhulika Sharma, Chief, Infrastructure Planning & Development, Tata Steel explained the objective of this campaign. She mentioned that the campaign will focus on unique methods to enhance awareness about road safety and defensive driving rules.

Speaking on the occasion as Guest of Honor, P N Singh complimented the Shared Services Division on organizing the programme and advised employees to follow road safety norms not only inside the Works but also on roads outside.
In his address to the audience, Mr. Misra emphasized the need of bridging the knowing-doing gap related to road safety.

A quiz on road safety, conducted by SNTI professionals, helped generate enthusiasm on the subject and in the process imparted knowledge about basics of defensive driving. NUKKAD NATAK, organized under the guidance of Chandra Sharan, helped put across the message highlighting the consequences of unsafe behavior on road.

The programme was conducted by A K Sah, Sr. Manager, Safety, Shared Services.
