The Hong Kong based Competitive Foods Ingredient Limited (CFIL) Director,Anand Srivastava today delivered a lecture on “How individuals can impact society”.
He delievered his lecture to executives of the Ranchi based PSU Heavy Engineering Corporation Ltd inside its auditorium in Ranchi.”It was a motivational talk given by him”,said a note prepared by the HEC.
Prior to his lecture,SK Pattanayak, Director (Finance)/HEC, welcomed Srivastava.He also welcomed Ravinder Verma, Chief Vigilance Officer / HEC for the motivational talk. In his welcome attanayak said that “Anand Srivastava is a very informal and a self made personality.The main thrust of the motivational talk would be “how an individual can make a difference in his organization and have an impact in the society”.
He further added that Srivastava had over 25 years of senior level experience and the CFIL was established by him in Hong Kong.He had worked with world renowned companies as Pepsico, Dominos Pizza, Compass Groups and Delmonte foods in the food and supply change functions.Working in 14 countries in different senior level positions had made him hold 3 world records in sourcing and project supplied change.
Further,Pattnayak pointed out that Srivastava is expert in organic and bio chemistry,had spent his childhood in HEC Colony and passed his higher secondary school from Vivekanada Vidya Mandir, Sector-II.”He is an M-Tech in Bio-chemical Engineering from IIT, Delhi”,said Pattnayak.
During his speech,Srivastava made a presentation showing different ways and means through which an individual can become an agent of change for the betterment of the society at large while also being concerned about the individual career and growth prospects.
Augmenting his presentation with real life situation and experiences in education, old age, orphanage, child labour, etc. he said that most people have an usual ability to face up to stark reality.This is possible by “Creating a single powerful attribute:Tough Minded Optimism could make things turn out right”,said Srivastava.
Mr Srivastava motivated the executives to be involved in continuous learning, having a compelling vision, learning from others and to reinvent themselves.He said that each one should take time of reflect and think, use the context of their lives and not surrender to it, create new context, new ways of doing and being. This would definitely prove to be a major enabling factor for bringing about a change in the society.
AC Deogharia, General Manager/HRD proposed the vote of thanks and expressed his gratitude to Srivastava for having agreed to deliver the motivational talk to the young executives of HEC. The program was compered by S Subramaniam, SDGM/HRD.
