Hold ‘Bal Samagam’ in state govt run schools,CS tells DCs

Jharkhand Chief Secretary Sajal Chakravarty today held video conference with Deputy Commissioners of all districts and told them that they should hold a cultural programme-Bal Samagam-in all state government run schools in Jharkhand.

Bal Samagam will be held in the state government run schools to explore the talents of students,said Chakravarty.”Apart from studying,effort should be made to promote ways for students to participate in games,essay writing,lecture,debate,painting and other activities.”

Chakravarty said that students of Class VIII onwards should participate in different competitions.He said that the first phase of Bal Samagam programme will start in all state government run schools on January 19-20.

Subsequently,the winners in the first round will participate in the second round at the Block level on January 22-23.The last phase of Bal Samaagam will be held on January 30-31.

The Bal Samagam programme is to be organised under Sarwa Shiksha Abhiyan,said Secretary,Human Resources Aradhana Patnaik
