The “Himmat” mobile app for women safety will now be introduced in Jharkhand as part of the government security measures, the State Assembly was informed today.
Chief Minister Raghubar Das said in the House that the state government was committed for the security of women and their empowerment. Himmat App, which the Delhi Police had launched, will now be introduced in Jharkhand.”
The Chief Minister was replying to a query from BJP legislator Radhakrishna Kishore on what measures the state was taking to protect women in the background of atrocities against them, which was on the rise since 2012.
As per the Delhi Police website, its recent launch of Himmat safety App was available for Android Smart phones in order to provide immediate police assistance in the event of any emergent situation that may arise anytime, anywhere.
