Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and Leader of the Opposition Hemant Soren today criticized Chief Minister Raghubar Das for being absent in the House on a day of Motion of Thanks on Governor Syed Ahmed’s speech and the second supplementary budget.

Speaking on the Motion of Thanks and cut motion against the supplementary budget, Soren flayed Chief Minister’s absence in the House and termed it as “shameful” and an “insult” to the Assembly.

Speaker Dinesh Oraon said Chief Minister’s absence should not be made an issue because any government functions with collective responsibility and all ministers present are part of it.
