Ranchi based PSU Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited has added a new feather in its cap by becoming lowest bidder to achieve the work order worth Rs. 184.08 Crores for construction of Coal Handling Plant of 5.0 Mtpa capacity at Tetulmari of Bharat Coking Coal Limited and the work order will follow shortly.
The work order consists of Civil and Structural construction,Receiving Pit, Transfer House, Conveyors, Apron Feeder, Roll Crusher, Ground Bunker, Paddle Feeder, Tripper Conveyors, Silo & Rapid Loading System, Cranes, Hoists and sets of Electrics etc. and the total plant operation will also be fully automatic through PLC automation based on the state of the art technology and this order has to be completed by HEC in 36 months.
For this work order HEC has become L-1 in an extremely hard contest among L&T, Tata Projects and SKSL against the tender issued by BCCL.
Earlier HEC has executed such prestigious work orders of Material Handling Plants at Jayant, Bina, Nigahi, RSP Rourkela (Ph. – I ) and presently engaged in execution of similar type of two big projects at BSP Bhilai , NCL (Krishnashila), Meghahatuburu (SAIL/RMD), New OBBP at RSP, Rourkela and Coal Washery for BCCL (Madhuband).
