Why Arcellor Mittal is complaining?
LN Mittal may not even know him.But the world’s largest steel maker-Arcellor Mittal-whose plan to set up a mega plant in Jharkhand has been hanging fire since long, has been particularly cut up with Deputy CM Hemant Soren. One reason is that Soren, who is incharge of the state’s mines department, has been sitting over his company’s file related with Karampada iron ore mining lease for the past more than two years. This perhaps prompted Mittal to lodge a complaint with the Centre in a recent meeting of its Inter Ministry Group. The meeting was chaired by Union Steel Secretary DRS Choudhary who is learnt to have asked the state’s mines Principal Secretary AK Sarkar to look into the company’s grievance and address it.But problem is Sarkar is His Master’s Voice and his boss Soren who expects Mittal to grease his palms is in no hurry to clear the file.Sad thing for Mittal indeed.
BJP’s HP takes pride in giving land to Priyanka !

The Section 118 of the Himachal Pradesh Land Tenancy and Reforms Act,which among other things protects the agricultural land of farmers, allows outsiders to set up industries and power projects, build tourism infrastructure or anything else that contributes to development of this state. But this section was used to favour whomever it deemed fit.So perhaps after Priyanka Gandhi was allowed to purchase 4.5 bighas for horticulture and residential purpose,a villa came up.But before it was near completion,an architectural flaw was detected.Priyanka approached the Dhumal government of the BJP,for purchase of another plot of 1.5 Bigha adjacent to her first plot. Now when she owns more than an acre of land, most non Himachalis, who were not allowed more than 500 square metres, are fuming. But Dhumal in an interview to a magazine, defended his government’s move saying it is a “matter of pride” that she wants to have a house in HP.Gr8 politics indeed!
Where is PM Singh’s Rs 99?
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is in the news again.Unlike the past when he was dubbed as “GDP Singh”,this time,a Lok Sabha MP of the Congress party is being quoted as having narrated a story in the last Parliament session. “There was a father who gave 100 ruppees each to his three sons and asked them to buy things and fill up a room completely.Result?
First son bought hay for Rs 100 but could not fill up the room entirely.Second son bought cotton for Rs 100 but could not fill up the room entirely.Third son bought a candle for Re one and lit it up and the room was filled with light completely. The MP continued:”Our PM is like the third son.Since the day he has taken charge of his office, our country is filled with the bright light of prosperity.”
Wily Lalu intervened and asked:”That is all very well…!But where are the remaining Rs 99?”The Congress MP kept mum.
Rahul’s Afgani connection?
In political circle, the heir apparent of the Congress party is always a juicy subject of discussion and debate. This time 43 year old Rahul Gandhi is in the news for his reported love for Afgani royal blood,a grand daughter of of the late king Zahir Shah.As per a report in the gfiles,a magazine, the “beautiful”Afgani princess-a Christian convert-,who lived in exile in Italy for 29 years in a modest four bed room villa in the affluent community of Olgiata on Via Cassia,North of city of Rome, was put up at Delhi’s star hotel Aman where Rahul goes for gym.Though no body had seen the Afgani princess and the Congress party’s prince together, both were unmarried. In any case, speculation is rife if Rahul ties the nupitial knot before 2014 polls and faces the electorates as a married man or a bachelor.GOD SHOULD BE KIND TO Rahul .
