YSRC MLA violating sanctity of Tirumala, alleges TDP
YSR Congress Party MLA R.K. Roja on Thursday lashed out at the the Telugu Desam Party government for failing to tackle pressing problems such as drinking water crisis. Talking to the media here, Ms. Roja questioned how Mr. Naidu, who could not get even a single house constructed for the poor since coming to power in 2014, managed to construct a palatial residence for himself in Hyderabad in a span of one year. She demanded that the government come out with a White Paper on the cost of the construction of the Chief Minister’s new residence.
On defectors from the YSRC getting Cabinet berths, she said it was unfortunate that the Governor and the Assembly Speaker had chosen to remain silent.
On protests by Tamil Nadu farmers in New Delhi, the MLA said farmers of A.P. were yet to get the full benefits of the waiver of farm loans as promised by the TDP in its election manifesto. Ms. Roja said TDP MPs were not attending Parliament whenever there was a discussion on the demand for SCS.
‘A non-issue’
Tirupati Staff Reporter adds:
Meanwhile, TDP cadres demanded an unconditional apology from Ms. Roja for ‘violating’ the sanctity of Tirumala and also pressed for stern action from TTD officials.
Speaking to the media here, Tirupati MLA M. Suguna found fault with Ms. Roja using the hill shrine as a political stage to vent frustration over the ruling party.
