Jharkhand Governor Dr. Sayed Ahmed today praised Birsa Agriculture University (BAU) for organizing the Agrotech Kisan Mela in Ranchi.
Speaking on the concluding day of the Mela, Dr. Ahmed said Jharkhand is an agricultural state where majority of the population resides in villages and they are dependent on agriculture for their livelihood.
He expressed concern over the plight of farmers and said that despite their hard work they do not get proper return. BAU has done a good job by organizing this Mela which will create awareness among them about the developments in the field of agriculture, added the Governor.
He said lab to land concept will materialize only when our agriculture scientist work with full devotion for the benefit of the farmers. “Our aim is to make the farmers self dependent,” added Dr. Ahmed.
