Tremors were again felt today in various parts of Jharkhand including Ranchi, Dhanbad and Deoghar at around 12.40 in the afternoon.
People sensing the tremor in Ranchi rushed out of their houses for safety.
A high-magnitude quake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale also rocked many parts of East and North India, including Delhi, epicentre of which was Nepal.
The tremors, which were felt in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab, triggered panic and forced people to rush out of their houses and offices.
There were no immediate reports of loss of life or damage to property in Delhi.
