Now,when the Manmohan Singh government was mulling ways to make cities safer for women, the Chouhan led Madhya Pradesh government on Monday announced a series of steps to deter eve-teasers and others who commit crimes against women.

The new steps by Chouhan led government include creation of a data base of all those accused of crime against women like eve-teasing or sending abusive SMSes. The government proposes to deny government jobs to such persons besides cancelling their passports and driving licences.

Also, a toll-free telephone number for registering complaints about eve-teasing and misbehaviour will begin functioning from January 01, 2013.The government will also work towards starting fast-track court to ensure speedy justice in sexual exploitation and rape cases.
