Two powerful explosives have been recovered during an anti-Maoist operation in Chengde village under Rania police station of Khunti district, the police said.
The explosives were planted to target the security personnel and were recovered by the CRPF and district police when they were on a routine combing operation in the extremist hit pockets of the district, said the police.
According to the police one IED weighed 100 kg and the other 50 kg. Later, the Bomb Disposal Squad defused the explosives in the jungle, added the police.
