An earthquake today rocked Jharkhand, causing panic among the people, but there were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property.
The quake, with its epicentre in Nepal, was felt at many parts of North and Eastern India including Dumka, Pakur, Sahibganj, Ranchi, Jamshedpur and other places at around 12.15 am.There is no report of any casualty so far.
People in some places rushed out of their houses in panic, officials said.
The epicentre of the earthquake is said to be 70 km from Kathmandu in Nepal.’It is after shock of the earthquake that hit Nepal on April 25″,said officcials.
On April 25,the earthquake was felt in Ranchi and its adjoining areas also.No casualty took place.
