DVC will get dues soon,says CM

images_thumbJharkhand Chief Minister Raghuwar Das today told the Chairman of Damodar Valley Corporation(DVC) that the state government will clear its dues soon.

DVC Chairman had met him and sought payment of dues.In fact,DVC having its plant at Maithan in Dahnbad district of Jharkhand supplies power in the area to Jharkhand State Electricity Board.

“The state government will clear the dues.But the DVC will have to ensure that power is supplied to other areas of the state,apart from its command areas and there is no power shortage”,Das told him.

The CM also sought information regarding the financial aspect of power production and distribution in Jharkhand.He told the state officials to contain power theft and collect payment from the consumers regularly.He directed them to end conflict between the state’s rich coal storage and the people living in darkness.

The meeting was attended by DVC chairman,state’s Principal Secretary(Finance)Raj Bala Verma,Secretary Plan and Development Department Arun Kumar Singh,Secretary(Energy)SKG Rahte and Jharkhand State Energy Corporation Chairman cum Managing Director SK Verma.
