The Centre has appointed Draupadi Murmu as Governor of Jharkhand.
Though President Pranab Mukherjee has not cleared the file so far,Murmu,a tribal woman and BJP leader from Mayurbhanj in Orissa is expected to succeed Governor Syed Ahmed soon.
If President Mukherjee approves the file,Murmu,51,will be Jharkhand’s first women Governor.
