Jharkhand Urban Development Minister CP Singh will undergo bypass surgery of his heart at Medanta hospital in New Delhi on Monday.
The surgey will be performed by Dr Naresh Trehan.”The bypass surgery was considered necessary by the doctors”,Singh told www.indiancitynews.com today morning.
Heart bypass surgery is performed to treat heart decease.The test had found that cronary arteris of Singh,who suffered from diabetes,were blocked.
Incidetally,Dr Trehan is a renowned Indian cardiovascular and cardiothoracicsurgeon. After graduating from King George Medical College, Lucknow, he went on to practice at New York University Medical Center Manhattan,USA,from 1971 to 1988. After a successful career in the US, he returned to India and started Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre. At present, he serves as the chairman and managing director and chief cardiac surgeon of Medanta,New Delhi.
