This new Medanta hospital was inaugurated by Dr. Naresh Trehan who announced the merger of Abdur Razzaque Ansari memorial Weavers’ Hospital located along National Highway 33 near Ormanjhi,Ranchi with Medanta.
In fact,Abdur Razzaque Ansari Memorial Weavers’ Hospital was taken over by the Medanta and as such it will now be known as Medanta Abdur Razzaque Ansari Memorial Weavers’ Hospital, Ranchi.
“In keeping with our mission of making outstanding healthcare available to all, Medanta has partnered with Abdur Razzaque Ansari Memorial Weavers’ Hospital in Ranchi to offer the only super specialty hospital in this part of the country”,said a st5atement.
This hospital was originally founded in 1996 by the Chotanagpur Regional Handloom Weavers’ Cooperative Union Ltd. and the members of the family of the late nationalist and freedom fighter Abdur Razzaque Ansari, who was a champion of down trodden weavers & tribals in this backward region of the country.
The hospital offers state-of-the-art medical facilities to Ranchi and its surrounding areas of Jharkhand. In view of Jharkhand being most backward region in the country the establishment of this hospital and subsequently taken over by Medanta will stop the migration of the patients from the state to metro centers for the treatment of major ailments of the patients.
Medanta Abdur Razzaque Ansari Memorial Weavers’ Hospital aims to capture this phenomenon by bringing the expertise of Medanta right at the threshold of Ranchi and the entire area of Jharkhand) i.e. some parts of Chatisgarh,Orissa, West Bengal and Bihar .
The Medanta Abdur Razzaque Ansari Memorial Veavers’ Hospital, Ranchi is having 200 beds equipped with the state-of-the-art medical equipments to treat more than 60000 patients per year.
