The doctors today called off their agitation in protest against the murder of their colleague Dr RB Choudhary in Gumla on April 30.
They withdrew their agitation after the state health department promised to provide ex gratia and job to the dependent of late Dr Choudhary,beside assuring arrest of the criminals who had abducted him and killed him and adopt ‘Medical Protection Act’,an old demand of doctors belonging to , Indian Medical Association (IMA), Jharkhand.
The IMA had called a daylong strike, while Jharkhand Health Services Association (JHSA) had protested across the state against Dr Choudhary’s murder.
